For those in the US, you can experience Apple Vision Pro by scheduling an appointment at Apple Stores. Due to unfamiliar gesture controls, fine-tuned adjustments, and user training are required to use it. To enhance the entertainment spectrum, Disney has partnered with Apple, offering 150 3D movies at the time of launch. Apple avoids calling it virtual reality and instead refers to it as “special computing,” marking its first step into spatial computing.
What happens when it collides with household items?
During the initial testing, Sam wore the headset on his eyes and collided with various household items. This often happens when users wearing VR headsets while playing games in the virtual world collide with walls, wardrobes, or other objects. However, during this test, there was no impact on Apple Vision Pro’s front glass, and the device remained undamaged.
Glass that doesn’t break even when dropped multiple times
The entire frame of Apple Vision Pro is made of aluminum, with the front part being glass. Although the large glass may appear fragile, its strength was evident during the test. Even after dropping it multiple times from a height of up to 6 feet, the glass did not break, although one of its speakers stopped working. It was found that the part of the band near the speaker is relatively weaker than the glass itself.
Functioning even without the front glass
Even after dropping Vision Pro seven times from different heights, the front glass did not break, and the device continued to function. Finally, on the eighth drop from a height of around 10-12 feet, the front glass broke, but the device could still be easily operated without it. Interestingly, it was discovered that the device works fine even without the external glass cover.
