Unveiling Upgraded Hyundai IONIQ 5 Electric Car: New Features And Specs Revealed

Hyundai, the leading car manufacturer from South Korea, has unveiled the facelift version of its electric car, the IONIQ 5. Along with this, the company has also introduced the N Line variant. Now, this car will come with Standard, N, and the new N Line variants. Both these new variants introduced by the company will first be offered in the Korean market this month. After that, they will also be offered in other markets later this year.

 

Changes in Hyundai Ioniq 5 Exterior

The company has made some changes in the facelift version, giving it a fresh look. Changes have been made to the front bumper, increasing its length by 20 mm. Hyundai has improved the aerodynamics of the electric car by modifying the rear spoiler, making it 50 mm larger. Additionally, the central LED element has been added to the LED DRL. The N Line version will come with 20-inch alloy wheels. The company has presented the N Line variant with a more aggressive design, visible in the car’s bumper, side panels, and wheel arches.

Changes in Hyundai Ioniq 5 Interior

Hyundai has made significant changes to the interior of the IONIQ 5. As a result, the cabin now feels more spacious. A 12.3-inch digital screen has been provided in the car’s center console, accompanied by physical buttons that work better. The company offers heated and ventilated seats in this car. Additionally, it features a heated steering wheel and a park assist function. A wireless phone charger has also been placed near the cup holders for both front seats. Furthermore, a new three-spoke steering wheel has been introduced.

Battery Upgrade

In the Indian market, the IONIQ 5 comes with a 77.4 kWh battery pack and rear-wheel drive, delivering 214 horsepower and 250 Newton meters of torque. It takes only 7.6 seconds to reach a speed of 100 kilometers per hour from zero. According to ARAI, its range is 631 kilometers. However, the new IONIQ 5 will feature an 84 kWh battery, increasing the range of this electric car.
