He extended his heartfelt wishes to the citizens on this auspicious occasion, stating that he witnessed the manifestation of divine consciousness in the sanctum sanctorum.
PM Modi emphasized that Ramlala will no longer reside in a tent but will now dwell in the divine temple. Prime Minister Narendra Modi remarked that even a thousand years from now, people will remember this date and this moment. He highlighted the immense grace of Lord Ram, acknowledging that we are living this moment and witnessing it unfold. The Prime Minister sought forgiveness from Lord Ram, recognizing that despite centuries of effort, the accomplishment of this task was delayed. However, today, that deficiency has been fulfilled, and he expressed confidence that Lord Ram would forgive us.

“Our Ramlala will no longer reside in a tent. Our Ramlala will now be in the divine temple. I firmly believe that whatever has happened, the experience will reach the hearts of Ram devotees in every corner of the country and the world. This moment is divine. This time is the most sacred. This ambiance, this energy, this moment… it is the blessing of Lord Shri Ram,” said PM Modi.
He declared, “January 22, 2024… Today marks the beginning of a new era with the golden rays of Lord Surya. January 22, 2024, is not just a date; it is the commencement of a new era. The Ram Temple will bear witness to the rise and glory of India. People will remember this moment and date for a thousand years.”

Referring to Ayodhya, PM Modi said, “We are fortunate to be present at the consecration of Ramlala. This is not an ordinary time. It bears indelible marks on the forehead of time. Everyone knows that where there is the work of Ram, there Hanuman, the son of the wind, is always present. Therefore, he pays respects to the Ram devotee Hanuman and Hanumangarhi.”
Breaking the Chains of Mental Slavery, a Nation Stands Tall
Prime Minister Modi expressed, “Since the construction of the Ram Temple, a new enthusiasm has been brewing among the people. Today, we have received a heritage spanning centuries; we have the temple of Lord Shri Ram. The nation, by shattering the mentality of slavery, stands tall, creating a new chapter in history. It is a profound blessing of Lord Ram that we are witnessing this momentous occasion.”
Ayodhya Endured Centuries of Separation
Prime Minister Modi remarked that today, we inherit the patience of centuries. Today, we have the temple of Lord Shri Ram. He stated that the arrival of Lord Ram has filled the hearts of Ayodhya residents and the entire nation with joy. The prolonged separation and the adversity faced by Ayodhya and its residents have come to an end. PM Modi mentioned that during the same period when Lord Ram faced separation for only 14 years, it was unbearable even then. In this era, Ayodhya and the people of the country endured separation for centuries. Many generations have faced separation. PM Modi emphasized that people have revered Lord Ram in their own words in every era, and his divine influence continues to flow like the essence of life. He added that there is no room for despair in the country today.
Ram: The Guiding Principle and Policy
Prime Minister Modi highlighted that Lord Ram is the faith, foundation, thought, constitution, consciousness, contemplation, prestige, valor, influence, and flow of India. He stated that Ram is both the principle and policy. PM Modi asserted that Ram is eternal and continuous, universal, and the world’s soul. Therefore, when the honor of Ram is established, its impact lasts for centuries.
“Lord Shri Ram, Please Forgive Us”
Prime Minister Modi acknowledged the extraordinary nature of the occasion, expressing reverence for Lord Hanuman, Mata Janaki, Lakshman Ji, Bharat, Shatrughna, and the holy city of Ayodhya, along with the sacred Sarayu River. He humbly sought forgiveness from Lord Shri Ram, stating, “This time is not ordinary; it is marked with indelible ink on the wheels of time. Where the work of Lord Shri Ram is, Lord Hanuman is undoubtedly present. Therefore, I bow to devotee Hanuman and Hanumangarhi as well. I pay my respects to Mata Janaki, Lakshman Ji, Bharat Shatrughna, and all. Today, I also honor the sacred city of Ayodhya and the holy Sarayu River. Today, I seek forgiveness from Lord Shri Ram. In our efforts, sacrifices, and penance, there may be some shortcomings that we could not fulfill for so many centuries. Today, that deficiency has been rectified. I am confident that Lord Ram will surely forgive us today.”
Gratitude Towards the Judiciary
During this event, Prime Minister Modi expressed gratitude towards the Indian judiciary and the Supreme Court. He said, “In the first page of the Constitution of India, Lord Ram is present. Even after the advent of the Constitution, a legal battle continued for decades regarding the existence of Lord Shri Ram. I express my gratitude to the Indian judiciary, which upheld the dignity of justice.”
