According to Yonhap News Agency, Lee was found unconscious near bricks inside a car in a park in Seoul on Wednesday morning. His wife reported to the authorities that the star had vanished and that he had left a suicide note at home. After the note was recovered and a search was conducted, Lee’s body was discovered in the car.
Penalties for violations using narcotic substances are harsh in South Korea, a country renowned for its tough drug regulations. Minimum sentences for offenders are six months in jail; for individuals engaged in the drug trade, the maximum sentence is fourteen years.
