Tech company Oppo has launched a new budget smartphone, the Oppo A59 5G, in India today (December 22nd). This stylish mobile features a 6.56-inch FHD+ display, a 13MP camera, and is equipped with a 5000mAh battery.

Speaking of the design of this budget-friendly phone, its slim body design feels comfortable in hand, giving the phone a premium look. It replaces the Oppo A58 and comes in Silk Gold and Star Black color options.

Oppo A59 5G: Price and Availability

The company has introduced it in two memory variants. The base model with 4GB RAM + 128GB storage is priced at Rs. 14,999, while the larger variant with 6GB RAM + 128GB storage is priced at Rs. 16,999. The Oppo A59 5G will be available for purchase from December 25, 2023, through e-commerce websites, Oppo’s official website, and offline retail stores. Oppo is offering a New Year offer on this phone, including up to 10% or Rs. 1500 cashback on selected bank cards, 6 months of no-cost EMI, and 0 down payment.

Oppo A59 5G: Specifications

Processor: Launched on Android 13-based Color OS, this smartphone runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 6020 chipset fabricated on a 7-nanometer process. The octa-core processor can run at speeds of up to 2.2 gigahertz, and it features a Mali-G57 GPU for graphics.

RAM + Storage: The Oppo A59 5G supports 4GB and 6GB of RAM. It also includes a 6GB RAM extension technology, providing the phone with the power of 12GB RAM. The smartphone supports 128GB internal storage, expandable up to 1TB with an SD card.

Camera: For photography, the Oppo A59 5G comes with a dual rear camera setup. The rear panel includes a 13-megapixel primary sensor with f/2.2 aperture and a 2MP bokeh lens with f/2.4 aperture. For selfies and video calling, there is an 8MP front camera.

Display: The Oppo A59 5G phone features a 6.56-inch HD+ display with brightness up to 720 nits, crafted in a waterdrop notch style. It operates at a 90Hz refresh rate.

Battery: For power backup, the Oppo A59 5G phone is equipped with a 5000mAh battery. It comes with a 33W SuperVOOC charger for fast charging.

Other Features: Connectivity-wise, the Oppo A59 5G phone supports 5G bands. It also includes a 3.5mm jack, side fingerprint sensor, and basic connectivity features with an IP54 rating.
