Nafe Singh Rathee Murdered: On Sunday, Nafe Singh Rathee, the state president of the Indian National Lok Dal (INLD), was fatally shot by unidentified assailants. He was a former MLA from Bahadurgarh. He had been elected MLA twice from this constituency. Additionally, he had served twice as the chairman of the Bahadurgarh Municipal Council. He was also the president of the All India Indian Style Wrestling Association and the former president of the Haryana MLA Association.
In his last tweet on social media, Nafe Singh Rathee talked about the resolution for the development of Bahadurgarh. He wrote, “With firm resolve, we are moving forward to transform Bahadurgarh.” However, just two days later, he was brutally shot dead.
Nafe Singh Rathee Accused in a case of suicide
It’s worth mentioning that the Haryana Police had filed a case of suicide against Nafe Singh Rathee and five others, including a BJP leader. Rathee was charged under Section 306 of the IPC (abetment to suicide) in connection with the suicide of Jagdish Namberdar, the son of former minister Mangat Ram Namberdar.
Attackers fled after the incident
The attackers easily fled the scene after carrying out the murder of Nafe Singh Rathee. Along with Rathee, one of his security guards also lost his life. At the time of the attack, there were five people in the car. Nafe Singh was sitting on the front passenger seat with his driver. The attack took place around 5 PM on their car near Barahi Railway Crossing.
Police are still empty-handed
The injured were immediately taken to the Brahma Shakti Sanjivani Hospital in Bahadurgarh. There, Nafe Singh Rathee, who had been an MLA from Bahadurgarh twice before, was declared dead. Meanwhile, his supporter Jaykishan Dalal Mandauthi also died on the spot. His driver and security guard were also shot multiple times and are in critical condition. As soon as news of the incident came, SP Arpit Jain of Jhajjar district rushed to the spot and initiated an investigation. However, the police are still empty-handed.
