Income Tax Raid at Dheeraj Sahu’s Residence: 7th Day Update, 351 Crores Seized – Exclusive Details Revealed!
Today marks the 7th day of the income tax raid at Dheeraj Sahu’s residence. So far, more than 351 crores in cash have been seized. Pictures of Sahu’s Ranchi home have surfaced, revealing a lineup of luxury cars in queues.
Dheeraj Sahu, a Rajya Sabha MP from the Congress party, is still under the scrutiny of the income tax raid, now entering its 7th day. Cash exceeding 351 crores has already been confiscated. In the video, you can catch a glimpse of Dheeraj Sahu’s Ranchi residence, showcasing a fleet of luxurious cars. It is said that the house has 40 rooms, each being meticulously searched, causing a delay in the proceedings.
A sum of 351 crores was recovered in the raid conducted a week ago in Jharkhand, Odisha, and West Bengal. The ongoing counting at Sahu’s residence in Ranchi is yet to conclude. This operation has set a record, being the largest cash seizure in a single operation by any agency.
The income tax raid, initiated on December 6th, revolves around allegations of tax evasion against the Sahu Group. Officials found a total of 176 bags containing cash. Authorities investigating the tax evasion case are perplexed. Prior to this, in 2019, a GST raid in Kanpur yielded 257 crores. It is reported that after the counting in Ranchi, the Income Tax department will interrogate Dheeraj Sahu regarding the 351 crores in cash and recovered jewelry.
Significantly, an official statement from any tax department is not issued until the entire operation is completed. After the operation concludes, the income tax department seeks details from the individual related to the cash and all recoveries. Any unaccounted cash, jewelry, or property is then seized, deposited in the bank after proper documentation.
